FilingPilot is a private filing service — not a law firm and not a government agency. We do not provide legal, tax, or financial advice. Using FilingPilot is optional; you may always file directly with your state yourself.

1. What we do

FilingPilot prepares and submits state business-compliance filings — principally LLC annual and biennial reports and similar periodic filings — on your behalf, for a flat service fee plus the government’s filing fee. We are a document preparation and filing service. We are not a law firm, accounting firm, or registered agent (except in states where we separately offer and you separately purchase registered-agent service).

2. Not legal advice

Nothing on this site or in our communications is legal, tax, or financial advice, and no attorney-client relationship is created. We complete forms using the information you provide and public state requirements. We do not choose your entity type, draft custom legal documents, or advise you on your specific legal situation. For legal or tax questions, consult a licensed attorney or CPA.

3. Your authorization & accuracy of information

By placing an order you represent that you are an owner, member, manager, officer, or duly authorized representative of the business, and you authorize FilingPilot to prepare and submit the specified filing and to pay the associated state fee on your behalf. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide. State filings are signed under penalty of perjury by an authorized person; you authorize us to submit the filing based on your representations. See the Filing Authorization Agreement for details.

4. Fees and state charges

Our service fee is shown separately from the government’s filing fee. The state fee is set by the government and passed through to you at cost — we never mark it up. Fees are quoted before you pay. Payments are processed by Stripe; we do not store your card details.

5. Refunds

If we have not yet submitted your filing to the state, your service fee is fully refundable. Once a filing is submitted, the government fee is non-refundable because the state has already been paid. If we make an error that requires a corrected refiling, we correct it at our expense.

6. Deadlines and the on-time commitment

We compute your deadline from the information you provide and public state rules, and we re-verify it against the state record before filing. You remain responsible for your entity’s compliance. If you engage us before your deadline with complete, accurate information and your account in good standing, we will file on time; if we miss a deadline that was ours to meet, we will pay any resulting state late penalty.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, FilingPilot’s total liability for any claim arising from a filing is limited to the amount of the service fee you paid for that filing. We are not liable for consequences arising from inaccurate information you provided, from state processing delays or errors, or from your failure to engage us in time. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

8. Accounts

If you create an account, you are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for activity under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.

9. Termination

You may stop using the service or cancel Autopilot at any time. We may suspend or terminate service for non-payment, misuse, or to comply with law.

10. Changes; contact

We may update these terms; the “last updated” date reflects the current version. Questions: support@palavive.com. See also our Privacy Policy.
